Judgement of Honorable Supreme Court of India on politicians
The Honorable supreme court has recently has given a very land mark judgement to stop the criminals to be a member of parliament or of the State assembly. All the Political parties have supported the judgement in one voice but how much of the judgement is actually followed in the true strip of the judgement would be seen in time to come. In the current scenario it is proven on many occasions that the parties say that they will not make the criminals as their candidates in the election but on ground the realty remains different from their promises
Our political parties and politicians are well known to find out a way of back door entry when ever the law has stopped them from being MP/MLA. In this case also I am sure that some of them must be thinking about the back door entry in such situation also. Why I am saying this , I have a very basic reason and that is the criminality can stop only the criminal from becoming MLA/MP but what will happen if they make the family member of that criminal as their candidate in the election and keep the power remotely in their hand and enjoy the powers of a MLA/MP because the law also can not stop the members of the criminal from being a candidate in the elections. The History has so many examples .That day the whole purpose of the Judgement will be defeated.
The only solution to the problem I see in the hands of the Voter, until unless they will not reject such criminal candidate or their proxy members,the Judgement of all the courts will not be so effective as much those should be.Because in current situation expecting that the political parties will not make the criminal their candidate in the elections is very-very difficult to believe.
